Ultra Slim Heat Lamps
Professional infra-red ceramic heat emitter for the modern terrarium

The WhitePython™ Ultra Slim Heat Lamps bring a simple yet professional approach to reptile keeping. Each lamp offers the same level of heat as competing ceramic bulbs but are less than half the height.
This shortened heat lamp offers more space for your reptile to climb and bask under the heat whilst also offering a more aesthetically pleasing terrarium with greater viewing area.
The Ultra Slim Heat Lamps provide a radiant heat source without emitting any light; making them suitable for both day and night use. The infra-red method of heating allows for a basking area directly under the heater, whilst also increasing the ambient temperature of the terrarium.
It is recommended you use the WhitePython Heat Guard & Reflector units to protect your reptile against burns whilst also increasing the energy efficiency and safety of your ceramic heaters.

I wish these were on the market when I started. Ceramic bulbs and guards can take up so much room in a terrarium, especially the terrestrial ones, which are used for most species of lizard and snake, in my experience. The white python ceramic bulbs offer all the quality and heat capacity of the other brands out there but in a sleek and slim design, which nobody else has created, to my knowledge. This means that you can have your space back and you don’t have guards more than half way into some terrariums, as for the majority of uses a guard will be required for safety reasons. Now you can get the whole system from white python: the fitting and the guard, which is all fantastic quality. I have been switching all of mine over to these and I am really happy with the results and look forward to new products appearing.
Bought this for my royal python, with a leaf green guard.
Once together this item good quality product that does not take up much space in the viv.
It does exactly what it is made to do, I use it plugged in to my thermostat along with a heat mat. It mainly raises the ambient temperature, that’s is what I want it for. My favourite bit about this product is once up to temperature the guard still does not get to hot to touch meaning you scaley friend won’t get burnt!
Hi,
I’m looking to get a 3ft L x 18″ W x 20″ H vivarium for my Royal Python and was wondering what wattage bulb I should use with this kit?
It would be thermostat controlled of course!
Would 60 watts be enough of would you recommend 100 watts?
Thanks!
Hi Ben, a 60w Ceramic could well be enough for this size terrarium but does depend a lot on seasonal fluctuations of temperature in your house. Personally, I would recommend a 100w ceramic. As long as you’re using a thermostat, of which I recommend a dimming stat, then you’ll be perfectly safe with the higher wattage as you’ll only use the necessary energy required to heat to your desired temperature. Hope this helps!
